105" Extra 300

This new aerobatic airframe is a smaller version of our popular 41%Extra 300 Many people requested a plane that had all the features but was less expensive to complete.

This model offers several unique features not available on other planes. These include surfaces that are pre-hinged in "pockets" which make it aerodynamically extremely smooth and symmetrical. Symmetry of controls allows much easier setup and trimming of the plane. The plane is available covered as an ARF as shown in 3 color sets, white/red with blue trim, white/blue with red trim, and my favorite yellow/blue with red trim. Its fuselage is built-up from selected balsa/ply/hardwoods and the wings are balsa-sheeted foam. The fuselage is highly prefabricated with all mounts and trays installed, firewall installed with right thrust already established. An integrated 2 servo tray in the fuselage allows easy ganging of rudder servos, although in testing we have foun a single JR8711 to be plenty of power for extreme maneuvers. The cowl is mounted using a cowl ring with no visible external fasteners. Tinted canopy is standard. The integrated canister tunnel also doubles as a large mounting location for gas and smoke tanks. The fuselage has two 1.5" wing tube sockets installed so that you can choose the location that best suits your engine's weight for easy balancing.

Like several other new Wild Hare planes the Extra comes with a set of mylar/bubble pack wing bags to protect your investment. The bags include carrying handles and a sleeve to store the wing tube. Wings and horizontal stabs mount on carbon fiber tube spars and are easily removed for transportation or storage. Canister tunnel installed at factory accommodates largest canisters. Mounts for gas tank, servos, radio, etc already installed. Wood parts are assembled with CA, white glue or epoxy.
