This newly designed airframe is a scaled down version of the original mid-wing 2 place Extra 300. As a model it offers several unique features not available on other planes. These include surfaces that are pre-hinged in "pockets" which make it aerodynamically extremely smooth and symmetrical. Symmetry of controls allows much easier setup and trimming of the plane. The plane is available covered as an ARF, as shown in two color schemes and 3 color sets. Its fuselage is built-up from selected balsa/ply/hardwoods and the wings are balsa-sheeted foam. The fuselage is highly prefabricated with all mounts and trays installed, firewall installed with right thrust already established. An integrated 3 servo tray in the fuselage allows easy ganging of rudder servos. The cowl is mounted using a cowl ring with no visible external fasteners. Tinted canopy is standard. The integrated canister tunnel also doubles as a large mounting location for gas and smoke tanks. The fuselage has two 1.75" wing tube sockets installed so that you can choose the location that best suits your engine's weight for easy balancing.This is a truly high performance aircraft and requires top quality hardware to reach its full potential. This plane requires top quality metal gear servos at least 300 oz. in. per elevator (2 bays per side) and 600 oz. in. per aileron (3 bays per side). The Extra 300 is constructed of balsa, lite ply and selected hardwoods, covered in Ultracote/Oracover.
